Overview of ShipExec Client Support

The ShipExec Client Support application runs on a local workstation as a windows service. During the installation, the following two certificates are created: a root and an SSL certificate. These are self-signed certificates and are required for SSL communications. The certificates are valid for 2 year. Prior to the expiration date new certificates should be created. The windows service open port 5000 for HTTP and port 5001 for HTTPS requests. Requests can be made to the service and responses are received. You can request the following: computer name, ShipExec Client Service version, get local list of printers, get serial ports, read scale, and print document.
