Installing ShipExec Web Service

This topic explains the steps to install ShipExec™ Web Service.

The ShipExec™ Web Service installer is available on the web site in the downloads section.

Installing ShipExec™ Web Service

  1. Run the ShipExec™ Web Service installer as an Administrator.

  2. At the welcome page, click next to start the installation.

  3. Update the configuration page as needed and click Next.

    Note Note

    The default settings on the configuration page will work if both the ShipExec Thin Client and ShipExec Core applications are installed on the same system.


    This setting configures the host of the ShipExec WCF service.

    IIS Application Pool

    This setting configures the name of the IIS Application Pool for the web application.

    Binding Type

    This setting configures the service binding type between the web application and the ShipExec WCF service.

    Force web application to use https

    This setting forces the web application to use the https protocal.
    Note - Checking this setting requires a valid IIS SSL configuration.

  4. Select destination folder and click Install.

    Note Note

    If you are upgrading an existing installation you will be asked to overwrite the existing content.
    Click Yes if you wish to proceed with the installation.

  5. Click Finish to complete the installation.
